I'm going to write this post in English since it's going to be featured on an international blog - and I would like all visitors to be able to fully understand what it says. :-)
Amy of Park City Girl is hosting a Blogger's virtual Quilt Festival and I've decided that I'm going to join and show one of my quilts.
The one I've chosen is this
And I apologize for the poor picture. Turned out to be more difficult to photograph eventhough I did go outdoors.
But the pattern is The Wallpaper Strips by Kaffe Fassett from Quilt Road. I did a few changes - mainly I made the strips narrower than in the original quilt. I didn't want to make it as big as the original. Mine is app. 110 cm by 150 cm
I have used a lot of my most treasured fabrics - small scraps left over from other projects, small pieces that I have received from a friend in Norway, fabrics that I had never cut into until then, favourite Amy Butler fabrics and of course there are some Kaffe Fassett designs as well.
It was a summer holiday project. I think it was in the summer of 2005 I started - and finished - it. Most of the quilting was done on some lovely sunny days in Norway and the binding was handsewn down on the ferry back to Denmark.
It lives on the back of our couch - folded in half. It was supposed to have been hung on the wall above it. But that never happened - and now that place is occupied by something else. But one day it might be hung on a wall. It deserves to be seen in all its glory. :-)
If you click on the badge to the right you'll get directed to Amy's blog where you can find the URL of all the participants. There's a lot to look at - my entry is No. 431!

Lovely!
